Search the database

How to perform a search query

Using the search form on the homepage allows you to filter by categories, by locations or by brands. You can mix those filters together to get very specific results.

The keyword search is used to match any results within the title and/or the description of the ads.


  1. Type in a keyword in the search form and hit Enter or click the search iconsearch
  2. To narrow down the list of results, add a category filter or a location filter.
  3. You can add more precise geolocation filters by clicking "Toggle Filters" and selecting an area filter
  4. You can also use the brand filter by clicking "Toggle Filters" and selecting a brand filter
  5. If your query doesn't return any results, try to enlarge the search by removing some filters.

Contact a seller

Get in touch with a seller

To contact a seller, follow these steps:

  1. Log in or create an account if you don't have one
  2. Go to the public page of the ad that interests you
  3. Click on "Contact the seller" button
  4. Enter your message, then click "Send message"
  5. The recipient will be notified, and a conversation thread will be created in your account inbox

For security reasons and to prevent robot spamming, we only allow registered members to contact the sellers.

Report an ad

Signal offensive content

If you found an ad that displays offensive content (see our Terms of Use Policy for more info), you can signal it to the administrators. If the content is proved to be offensive, the ad will be deleted within 24h.
  1. Go on the public page of the ad that you want to report
  2. Under the main picture of the ad is a list of icons
  3. Click on the flag iconflag
  4. Confirm the action by clicking "Yes"
  5. The ad has been flagged and an administrator will control it

Create an account

How can I register a new account?

Creating a new account is free and easy. You will need an account for creating a new ad or for contacting other members. The reason why is only to improve security and avoid robot spamming.


To create an account, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the registration page
  2. Fill in the form (First name, Email, Password)
  3. Check the "I'm not a robot" field
  4. Check the "I agree to the website terms of use" field, then validate by clicking "Register"
  5. Within a few minutes, you will receive an activation email
  6. Go to your mailbox and click the activation link
  7. If you didn't receive the email, please check that Begcykel is in your whitelist.
  8. Your account will be activated and you will be automatically logged in. You can now create a new ad or contact other members.

To logout of your account, go to the accounts dashboard, and click on the logout iconsettings_power

To delete your account, go to the accounts dashboard, click on the settings iconsettings, then click on the destroy icon. Confirm the action by clicking "Yes".

How can I submit an ad?

  1. Log in or create an account if you don't have one
  2. Click on "Post an ad" button
  3. Choose your category, then click "Next"
  4. In the form, enter the title, price and description of your bike
  5. Option: You can also add a brand from the catalog
  6. Add your city/town
  7. Option: You can also add your postcode and phone number
  8. Click on "Continue"
  9. You can now upload up to 6 pictures
  10. Once you have at least one picture uploaded, click "Continue"
  11. Preview your ad, if everything looks fine, click "Validate", otherwise, go back and modify
  12. Your ad is now online.

Can't find the right category for your ad?

Please contact us if you think a category is missing.

Can't find the right brand for your ad?

Please contact us if you think a brand is missing.

Can't find your city/town in the list?

Please contact us if you think a location is missing.

Can't upload pictures for your ad?

If the picture upload form returns an error, please check that your image is not too large, and that it is in the JPG format.

I can't validate my ad / Ad is offline

If you can't publish your ad, it is because you didn't submit any pictures.
Ads require at least one picture in order to get published.

Edit an ad

How can I update my ad?

  1. Log in to your account
  2. On your account dashboard, under "My ads" tabs, is a list of all your ads.
  3. Click on the dropdown list icon, located to the right of your ad title
  4. Select "Edit" to modify the description/title, or "Pictures" to modify the images.
  5. Once the modification is made, preview your ad and validate.

Alternative method

Go on the public page of your ad. If you are logged in, a list of options will appear on the right column. Click "Edit my ad" to modify the description/title, or "Modify the pictures" to upload new images.

Delete an ad

How can I delete my ad?

  1. Log in to your account
  2. On your account dashboard, under "My ads" tabs, is a list of all your ads.
  3. Click on the dropdown list icon, located to the right of your ad title
  4. Select "Delete"
  5. A confirmation dialog box will show up, click "Yes" to confirm
  6. Your ad is now deleted

Alternative method

Go on the public page of your ad. If you are logged in, a list of options will appear on the right column. Click "Delete my ad" and follow the steps.

Receive notifications

Enable/disable mail notifications

When a member replies to your message, or when someone contacts you about your ad, you will receive a notification email. You can disable the notifications by following these steps:


  1. Log in to your account
  2. On your accounts dashboard, click the settings iconsettings
  3. A sidebar will appear. Change your notification preferences by clicking "Yes" or "No".
  4. Option: You can activate the newsletter to receive the website news
  5. Click "Update" to save the modifications

Messaging system

How can I send or receive messages?

When sending/receiving a new message from a member, a conversation will be created in your account inbox. You can then converse with the other member by using the chat box.
The conversations are organized by newest messages, and you can delete them at any moment. When an object has been sold, the related conversations will be closed.


To send a new message, follow these steps:

  1. Log in or create an account if you don't have one
  2. Go to the public page of the ad that interests you
  3. Click on "Contact the seller" button
  4. Enter your message, then click "Send message"
  5. The recipient will be notified, and a conversation thread will be created in your account inbox

To reply to a message, follow these steps:

  1. If your email notifications are activated, you should have received a direct link to the conversation by mail.
  2. Otherwise, log in to your account
  3. Go to your account inbox
  4. Select the desired message in the list
  5. The conversation will be loaded and you can reply using the form located at the bottom of the chat box.

Update my settings

How can I modify my user preferences?

To update your first name and avatar color, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. On your accounts dashboard, click on your avatar
  3. A popup will appear. You can change your first name or your avatar color by selecting one.
  4. Click "Save Avatar" to update the account

To update your email preferences, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. On your accounts dashboard, click the settings iconsettings
  3. A sidebar will appear. Change your preferences by clicking "Yes" or "No".
  4. Click "Update" to save the modifications

Your email address can't be modified. If you wish to use a new email address, delete your existing account and create a new one.

Login / Lost password

How do I retrieve my login credentials?

You can retrieve access to your account by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Glömt lösenordet page
  2. Fill in your email address
  3. If the address exists, an email containing a reset link will be sent to you
  4. Open the email and click on the reset link
  5. Enter a new password in the form and validate
  6. You can now login using your new password

If the login form returns an error, your account might have been blocked by an administrator. Please contact us if you believe this is a mistake
